I seek to partner with each unique student in their journey towards artistic expression.

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Acting at UT Austin. I love working with the amazing students at UT Austin and getting to know my incredible community of colleagues at UT. I’m currently teaching courses in acting Shakespeare, clown and games, and contemporary scene study.

I love teaching and exploring what it is to be human through the study of acting. Full of curiosity and trepidation, the clown dares to stand directly in the present moment, the place where the stage and the world meet, and in that place allows us to see, to look, to feel. The clown stands there for our delight and for something even greater – the pleasure of our togetherness, the tender magic of our collective imagination.

I love helping people celebrate the joy and power of their unique playfulness.

I believe that through listening we find play and from play we find find connection and through connection we are reminded that we need each other and are better together.

I love helping people cultivate the muscles of their curiosity.

I believe it’s my job is to partner with each person first and foremost — to meet them where they are — and join them in their search to reclaim what they already possess.

In the end, it is a willingness to learn and let go. To try, to fail, and to try again. We all fall short at times, but when we are in an environment that embraces failure as a necessary and beautiful step towards artistic growth, then falling short always becomes an opportunity, not a setback.
